Online binary options broker Stockpair has hired the former soccer coach and player Lothar Matthäus from Germany. They will be able to use his image for some online and offline marketing campaigns. This partnership has been signed for a period of one year.

Lothar Matthäus is a famous name to soccer fans born in the late 1970s or 1980s. So it seems that the demographic for this marketing campaign is shifting towards a generation that has some more savings than younger people, and could be more interested in trading.

The European market is their main focus for this effort – Lothar Matthäus used to be the captain of the national soccer squad for many years back then, before moving on to becoming coach for Hungary and Bulgaria’s national teams. However, Lothar Matthäus is also recognized worldwide for his extensive career and many trophies earned through the years.

He won a number of trophies, such as European Footballer of the Year, FIFA World Player of the Year, most capped German player of all time (retiring with a total of 150 appearances), German Footballer of the Year and World Athlete of the Year. Recently he has also worked as a commentator for networks such as ITB, Sportv and ITV.
